Michelle Baum is a trusted advisor with a reputation for building brand value and market relevance. She helps organizations navigate high-stakes challenges, including corporate turnarounds, acquisitions, and crisis events. Her client portfolio includes transformative work for startups and global enterprises, showcasing her versatility and depth of experience.
Her diverse background includes PR agency leadership and ownership, in-house roles, and academia, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how communications drives real business impact. She spent a decade at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she served as both an adjunct and tenured professor, leading the PR degree program and mentoring the next generation of communicators. Her dedication to students and community service earned her recognition as the PRSA Colorado Mentor of the Year and the MSU Denver Outstanding Service Award.
Michelle has also been deeply involved in the professional community, serving on the boards of PRSA Colorado and the American Marketing Association, and as President of the Southwest Education Council for Journalism and Mass Communication. Today, she continues that work as a board member for MSU Denver’s AI Advisory Board and The Meg Foundation.
She holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and mass communications and political science from the University of Iowa, and a master’s degree in education from Regis University. She is also accredited in public relations (APR).
